CapCut: the editor that does it all, by hand
CapCut is a free timeline editor with a Pro subscription, on phone, desktop and browser. It can spot the beats of a song (markers placed on the timeline), and its AutoCut feature assembles videos to the rhythm of a track.
Its multicam tool, “Create multi-camera clip”, which syncs angles by audio, is presented for the desktop version, Mac and PC. On a phone, for a playback music video, it's up to you to line up each take with the right moment of the song, then choose every cut.

LumaFusion: pro editing, angle by angle
LumaFusion is a full editor built for editors, on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and ChromeOS. Its Multicam Studio add-on (in-app purchase or Creator Pass subscription) syncs up to six angles by audio, timecode or by hand.
Then you do the editing: you play the song and tap an angle to switch to it, then fine-tune each cut. It's precise, and you decide everything. But the edit is still your job.

Roland 4XCAMERA: everyone on screen
4XCAMERA, Roland's app for musicians (iOS and Android), makes split-screen videos. Your first take is the guide; you play or sing along to add up to three more. All the takes are shown at once, with ten layouts per format.
The free version shows two takes; four require the paid version. There are no cuts: it's the “me as a quartet” format, not the language of a music video.

TREMOLO CUT: the app edits, on the music
TREMOLO CUT does one thing: a multicam music video cut on the music. You pick your song, the part and the length, then film four cameras (wide, medium, tight, free) while the app plays the track. Every take is locked to the same file, so the sync is built in. You can also import videos filmed on another phone or a camera: the app syncs them using the song.
The app then places every cut on the music. The engine was tuned by a professional editor; as the app puts it: “I cut on the music, never mid-phrase.” In Studio mode, you choose what the cuts follow: on the beat, on the melody or hybrid. You can then switch the camera of a shot, or regenerate another version.
Everything happens on the phone, with no account and no internet, even in airplane mode. No timeline, no effects: to add text, finish your exported music video in an editor like CapCut. Out in November 2026 on iOS and Android, with one full project free in 1080p.
